Murder Manifest : Dutch death thrashers

2008: The time has come to unleash MURDER MANIFEST (definition) to mankind! In the winter of 2007/2008 some hard-working musicians of the Dutch metal scene formed a new powerful, kick-ass death thrash attack named MURDER MANIFEST. The band consists of ex-members of INSTIL, THRONAR, ESCADRON and TOXOCARA.In the first months of 2008 Murder Manifest recorded eight new songs with the distincly death metalbands like Aborted, Decapitated or Morbid Angel  combined with rawness, ferocity and evil melodic parts like Dissection, God Dethroned, The Absence, The Black Dahlia Murder or Carcass.

‘Unique’ release in the European metal scene

“Mental Surgery” will see daylight on the 1st of May as a free downloadable album. The free download offer in combination with the CD version is still  available. This way of releasing an album was that time unique in the European metal scene and maybe even worldwide. The band gained success with the download campaign from the first day already. In the first weeks over 1.000 metal fans downloaded the album from the website. It’s counting every week with the average speed. Drummer Marc quit the band right after the recordings and was replaced by session drummers Daniel Dijkstra and Michiel van der Plicht (Toxocara, Prostitute Disfigurement, God Dethroned.

“Mental Surgery” (CD)

Due the succes of the free download version of “Mental Surgery” the CD version was the next thing. On the 1st of October 2008 their debut is officialy released. In November worldwide. The reviews from national and international press were very positive for example “one of the best metal albums in 2008 by a debuting band” or “ “One of the best unsigned bands.. in a few years!” ” For reviews check here for part one and here for part two..

New line-up and European tour

In 2009 the band was complete again with Jarno Olinga (drums) and Kevin Olinga (guitars) both from Thronar (Twilight Vertrieb recs) and also from Groningen. Replacing the session drummers and Anibal Ojeda (guitars). With the new and stable line-up the first international tour was a fact. in April 2009 they toured Germany, Switzerland and Italy. They played with bands like Vreid, Laaz Rockit, Haggard, Urgehal, Black Messiah, Taake, Izegrim, Arkangel, Amen Ra, The Batallion etc.
